1. A ladder - aka a 5 gallon bucket
2. A lunch box for 9 men – aka a 5 gallon bucket
3. A toe safety grip (lol) aka the ridge of a can lid
a. Workers here work barefoot in your home
4. A tool box – aka a large (5 gal?) cooking oil can laying on its side
a. Notice the plastic handle and hole on the ‘side’ of the tool box
5. A handle for the tool box – aka a handle from a 5 gal can
6. 1 tool box 'tray' hanging on one side holding plastic zip bags with wire ties – aka a box for photo paper or something similar
7. 1 tool box 'tray' hanging on the other side holding paint brushes and later the spatula – aka a box for photo paper or something similar
8. 1 small broom – aka a paint brush
9. 1 dust pan – aka spatula (which by the way had many uses)
10. 1 dust pan – aka spatula (which by the way had many uses)
11. A brace – aka a small piece of cardboard to keep ‘broom’ from falling in ‘tray’
12. A small drip cloth to protect small areas – aka a newspaper
13. A floor protector – aka a towel taped to the bottom of the bucket
14. Another floor protector – aka a t-shirt
15. A straight edge – aka a small piece of cardboard
16. 1 container for mineral spirits – aka a flower pot
17. 1 container for paint – aka a pancake mix jug
18. A container for spackling – aka a peanut butter jar
19. 6 bottles of acrylic paint – aka paint tint for just the right color for your wall.
20. A drip can – aka a small green glass to put used paint brushes in
What you cannot see in the pictures:
1. 2 refrigerator boxes these guys carried with them from room to room to protect the floors while working.
2. The suction hose to get the drain on the aircon to work – aka their vacuum cleaner. The vacuum hose was taped to the aircon drain very securely to make an airtight seal.
3. 8 men working very hard to repair cracks in walls and leak in aircon
4. 1 supervisor barking orders
5. 9 sets of footprints all over our beautiful marble floor. Not to worry, that is the only thing they left behind – and they wanted to clean that.
These guys should get the award for most uses for recycled materials.
Amazing, isn’t it?
Now I am off to look up more on Korea – and try to find resources and someone to help fill me in – I need another Pam up there ;-)
