We are waking up slow and easy these days as we are young and old:
... but we get busy early because we wake up between 5 and 6.
Update on the house; the cabinet doors are varnished:
And should be installed (maybe?) tomorrow.
The countertop is finished:
The sink is perfect:
The two way switch is becoming a 3 way as it was intended to do:
and I love our door :-)
We had a neighbor come in and show great interest in buying our house. We are waiting a few days to hear if he is seriously interested, and if we don't hear from him we will contact a real estate agent and see if it is even worth putting on the market with the state of the economy. We shall see. We seriously have no idea what we are going to do. It simply does not make sense to put over $1000.00 a month into mortgage, utilities and cable for a place we don't live in.
We still have a few days until they are finished with the remodel, then we will decide if we move in, partially move in, or move stuff to storage. It has been a source of depression, discussion and torn hearts for days. I know we will eventually come to a good decision, but it is so difficult to do. Steve and I are not ones to make a rash decision and it is not the time to start doing so - however, the house is just the way we want it now, it is just in the wrong neighborhood. Time will tell - and when we decide, you will be among the first to know.
pR is studying Egyptians now. Her mom started an Egyptian mask with her - doesn't it look great? And her mom says she is not an artist! We worked on it yesterday putting another layer of icky, sticky newspaper on it - what a fun mess!
Paper machét - EWEE! lol...
And how cute is this?
I wish our grandkids were still little - I would buy this set in a heartbeat. It made me smile. It is the little things right now; all of them added together making me smile. Times are difficult, but God is good. We will find our way soon. :-)

The house looks amazing! I sure hope you're enjoying time with Stevie and pR. Here's hoping that you're able to easily make the best decision for you and your family.
