Yes, they are 'rubber' eggs the first few times they lay.
Soon they will be perfect teeny hard shelled eggs.
Then they become bigger little hard shelled eggs.
Next they become small hard shelled eggs.
And finally, the eggs are normal size.
Or extra large eggs.
Usually this all happens within a week.
These will be normal sized 'large' eggs.
They will be hard shelled.
Each chicken will lay nearly every day.
Now you know why there is a saying "madder than a wet hen!"
Any woman having a kid every day would be 'madder than a wet hen'.
I am a wealth of useless information.
