Why We Love New Orleans - the Architecture

Steve and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in New Orleans.  We talked for weeks about what we wanted to do for our 35th - and we could not come up with one thing and justify it by spending the money on it.   We have no desire to take a cruise, we don't want to fly anywhere and we don't have enough energy (yet) to pull our camper out and travel to unknown destinations.

Our daughter had called asking for us to come help her pack two rooms of her house so she could put it up for sale to move to a bigger and better place - AKA a FARM.  Steve and I decided to go help her out - and in the process realized we could go to New Orleans for our anniversary.  We had lived in south Louisiana for 30 years and New Orleans is one of our favorite places to play.  And so we did!

Over the next few days I am just going to share some pictures of why we love New Orleans so much.  I doubt I will elaborate much - I will just let you soak in the charm of the city.  Be sure to look at the architecture, the stability (or lack of) and the beauty of the buildings....

So here goes...  The New Orleans Architecture:
