A Tea in China Town... It is a Process

Mommy wanted tea.  She loves hot tea and she wanted to get some while in Singapore.  Granny knew just the place to take them - to the tea getting store.

Having tea in China Town is a process.  Not to be rushed but to be relished.  The tea is taken in a slow manner and savoring every swallow.  Tea is made in tiny pots that are warmed to just the 'right' temperature:

And it is poured in teeny tiny cups that are also warmed to just the right temperature:

And it is swirled in the teeny tiny cups and smelled for a good aroma.

And if you like it, you taste it, very slowly:

...and you contemplate the wonderful taste:

And if you like it, your host will serve some more:

The tea was so hot the girls had to cool it down:

And they tried another tea:

Raelee was actually quite interested:

I think she thought she was having her own private tea party:

Mommy was quite interested too - we bought tea!

Having a tea in China Town is definitely a process, even when just tasting teas to buy.  It is a quiet and refreshing experience.

Now we must find a proper tea pot and tea cups.

Obviously, what we are accustomed to and use in the states is not proper.
We must now shop for a proper tea pot and tea cups.  After all, it is part of the process...

Right?
Guess where we are going today?

I don't know where you will go but I'd guess finding a tea set won't be too hard! I can't wait to see what it looks like! Have fun!
