Posting for Photography CC - I Need Help... lol...








What am I doing right/wrong and any suggestions welcome. I know. The first picture sucks!

Shutter speed on the first two are way too slow, you can't get a clear picture that way b/c of camera shake. Your SS when hand-holding the camera should always be at least the same as the focal length of your lens. For example, I see that you used 70mm, so your SS should be at least 70. The last photo looks really cool! The high SS was able to freeze the fire action. If you were wanting to pull in more light, you can try to open up the aperture more, if your lens can do that. Does any of that help? :-)

Jamie covered it :) I would have jacked the ISO up to 800...or maybe 1000 even. Yes, Your SS needed to be at least 90 to get a clear picture...especially the way you shake sometimes...lol (no offense) That last picture is great!
