The Singapore Flyer

Bright and early, we got up and went to the Singapore Flyer. We had to do it early before the haze set in. Singapore has a way with rain or haze as the day gets later. As a reminder, I am going to show you a few pictures from our side looking at the flyer.


This is our condo - pay close attention to its shape:




This is the Flyer from our window - a zoomed view from our balcony, but you can compare the size with the surrounding highrises:



Another view from our balcony, not close up, but at the far left hand side, you can see the flyer. Notice the orange topped buildings or better known as condos here:



They look pretty darned tall don't they?

Until you see them from the top of the flyer:



Just under the V is our condo. You might need a magnifying glass to see it... lol... Don't forget its unique shape, that is a dead give away.


Now if you look to the right, you will see water as well, just above the green, but on the horizon. See those bumps on the water way back on the horizon? This is what they are:



Yes, I know, you need the magnifying glass again - they are ships waiting to be offloaded.


This is looking toward downtown. For those of you that are familiar with the sights here, do you see the Fullerton straight to the back of the 'pond' at the base of the high rises? Ahhh, and look at the 'Durian' (Esplanade) buildings to the right! Casino construction is the nasty mess in the bottom left corner. If you look closely at the bridge that is under construction - could it be another fancy one like the Henderson Wave?

These are just cool shots of the flyer. You know I have to take weird pictures, right?







And this is a picture of me because not one of my kids would believe I did this without a picture of proof. I did it kids! GO ME! I was not even scared and I am not on my hands and knees hanging on for dear life either!

It was not bad at all. I am deathly afraid of heights and I can do this with no problem. If you haven't done it and are here in Singapore - you gotta do it. It is amazing!
